| JF Thamm Studios is pleased to announce that John Thamm will conduct his teacher training certification classes for oil portraiture in the United States and Germany. The Thamm Portrait Painting Classes will be taught using the John Thamm Wipe-Out Technique.
Welcome to the world of portrait painting… I’ve been painting for forty years and I’ve developed a technique for painting portraits that is easy to teach and easier to learn. It’s called the Wipe-Out Technique, and in twenty-five years I’ve been teaching this method of portraiture just about everyone who’s tried it and worked diligently with it, has been able to learn how to paint recognizable, satisfying portraits in oil. Many of my students are teachers themselves, and they report similar success in their classes.
Three levels of Oil Portrait teacher certification in the John Thamm Wipe-Out Technique will be offered this Fall in Berlin, Germany. Level One-the student learns the craft of painting oil portraits with the Wipe-Out Technique by exploring the basics of painting the human head and practicing the placement of the features and proportions of the human face. Level Two- the student paints a variety of portraits as projects to experience painting men, women, and children at various ages in several poses. Each exciting project helps the student to build the knowledge needed to paint portraits of friends and family. Level Three-the student attains the ability to render a portrait from a photograph and incorporate the skills that they have learned from prior levels. Students will enjoy the satisfaction of painting portraits of their loved ones and complete the body of knowledge that they will need to teach the Wipe-Out technique.

THE 2008 CERTIFICATION CLASSES WILL BE HELD AT A BEAUTIFUL PRIVATE ESTATE JUST OUTSIDE BERLIN. THIS FABULOUS ESTATE HAS 20 GUEST ROOMS, A THOUROBRED HORSE RANCH WITH 59 HORSES ON A PROPERTY OF 20 ACRES. THERE ARE SEVERAL GUEST ROOMS AT THE ESTATE TO ACCOMADATE MANY OF THE ENROLLED STUDENTS. ROOMS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO THE FIRST SEVERAL STUDENTS WHO REGISTER FOR THE COURSE.
John Thamm WILL PERSONALLY BE TEACHING ALL THREE WEEKS IN GERMANY. CLASS SCHEDULE IS LIMITED , SO PLEASE ENROLL EARLY.
