| The French painter, Millet, created a picture called The Sower-a painting of a peasant throwing out seeds of regeneration. I have taken from Millet the pose of this peasant and instead of casting seeds of regeneration my Sower is casting out seeds of disruption in the form of religious and political symbols. The setting is a shopping mall and the media are present and preparing to interview the Sower. I have included myself among the media because of involvement as a courtroom sketch artist in the Branch Davidian and Waco Trials. This experience gave me insight as to how the media can spin doctor current events. |
